Iasonas and Penelope meet at a dinner party, they start to date and fall in love. Something is off from the very beginning; Iasonas keeps jumping from present to past and is constantly floating between dream and awake. Soon he can’t tell the difference between reality and figments of his imagination. He wakes up one day to find that Penelope is missing but he can’t understand what happened and why. His girlfriend’s disappearance turns him into a desperate wreck and causes confusing hallucinations making his already messed up mind worse.

In this brilliant psychological thriller, Alexis Alexiou gets into the mind of a schizophrenic whose love becomes violent and his jealousy drives him insane.

Alexis ALEXIOU (1976) has a degree in Physics from the University of Athens and has studied cinema as well. His short films have participated in numerous international film festivals. Tale 52 is his feature début.
