Evgeny Ruman was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1979, but in 1990 he immigrated to Israel. Since 2000 he has been studying film and television at the Tel-Aviv university. He directed the following short films: Brother and Sister (2002), Veronica (2004), Nes (2006) and A Piece of News (2006).
